Comfort meets major versatility in this classic water shoe. The men’s Newport H2 showcases the airiness of a men’s sandal and the toe protection of a shoe for men. The siped outsole provides excellent traction by channeling water away from the ground. While the washable quick-dry straps are equipped to take you from the trail to the harbor, and everywhere in between. Weighing 14.2 oz / 402.6 g (per sandal), and made to last, the Newport H2 water sandals for men are built off KEEN’s traditional wider footwear form. KEEN is a values-led, family-owned maker of original hybrid footwear for working and playing outside. Since 2003, KEEN has been creating sandals, boots, shoes, and sneakers in its mission to make the outdoors more accessible for everyone. Every KEEN product is Consciously Created to help leave the planet better than we found it.

Incomparable quality
As a Personal Trainer/Fitness Instructor, I wanted shoes for the summer to train individuals for both indoor & outdoor sports. These shoes provide comfort, protection, and proper support. I am a size 7 in men’s but ordered my normal size 8 and they fit perfectly. My foot/ankle tend to be on the narrow end so I would not recommend for wide feet -it’s not that they run small but potentially narrower than some may want. My feet do not sweat in them compared to other similar sandals. The quality of these sandals is far more superior than any other sandal (I felt the same with my Keen boots). My only scare was when I was home and surprisingly slipped (as you would on ice) on a few water droplets – vinyl floor. Luckily, I know how to fall. I tested them again and now I am simply mindful to stay away from wet surfaces. Otherwise, BEST sandals ever if you are looking for proper support, posture, quality and attractiveness.

Initial Reaction – 4.5/5.0
I have not had a chance to wear these extensively other than trying them on, walking around the house and inspecting the quality. I will base my review on initial Fit, Comfort, Quality and Appearance. First, let me say I purchased these for fishing/wading rivers and the hiking that might be involved with those endeavors. The purpose of my review is to mainly assist those in trying to select the right size.Fit: 5/5 – I normally wear a 10/10.5 shoe wearing normal, medium thickness socks, depending on the brand of shoe. II plan to use these only without socks, so I purchased a size 10.5 based on the reviews. They were snug to put on, but comfortable once on. This is exactly the fit I was looking for. I have a wide foot and it was plenty wide for me. There was enough room in the toe cap for my toes. Just be sure to loosen up the bungee strap to assist when putting them on.Comfort: 4.5/5 – The comfort seems very good. The sole has arch support but also seems flexible enough to deal with various terrain. I subtracted .5 because it might have been better to have an adjustable heel strap for personalizing the fit better as the shoe breaks in. Time will tell. Perhaps it isn’t necessary.Quality: 4.5/5 – After my initial visual inspection and walk around, I feel these are well made and will last. Subtracting .5 because I did see some minor fabric fraying on the straps. Once again, only time will tell.Appearance: 5/5 – Sporty and attractive IMHO. Can serve multiple purposes.

Excellent product
“I recently purchased a pair of sandals, and I have been extremely impressed with them. The comfort level is incredible – The material is soft yet durable, providing both comfort and long-lasting wear. Additionally, the design is stylish and versatile, making them perfect for both casual outings and more formal events. What’s even better is the price point – these sandals offer amazing quality for such a reasonable price. Overall, I am beyond satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend these sandals to anyone in need of a stylish and comfortable footwear option.”

Perfect fit
Great water shoe. Good traction in the water over rocks, mud or sandy bottom. Quick drying, stylish and comfortable enough to where out to dinner in the Florida keys. I find myself in them all day..(great toe protection) 😉

Great support and comfy
I’ve been experiencing significant pain since may 2023 under my toes, the result of very flat feet and crummy ankle joints. Phys therapy did not help. Could not go barefoot at all, even taking a quick shower was long enough to reignite pain. Podiatrist recommended some brands of slippers and sandals to me, these among them. I have worn them almost exclusively for the past several months, wearing my old keen boots for errands or lawn work and these sandals the rest of the time, probably 80% of every day. As of june 2024, and only a few months with these sandals, i never thought I’d be able to say this but I am now pain free and can even go barefoot once in a while now though i dont tempt fate. Bought a second pair for use on the beach this summer. I can’t say enough good about these sandals. Stable, comfortable, supportive, well made, great toe box. I guess there’s no way to know how they’ll work for other people with problems like I had, but I’m so grateful for these…I hope other people have as much success as I have.

Love the Shoes, musings on my experience with sizing
These sandals protect your feet pretty well, around the house and on trails. They are not as good in that respect of course as solid hiking shoes, but they are an alternative, especially for summer. I will say no more on that, other than after wearing them now for 3 or 4 months I have really grown fond of them, and I am particular about my shoes. Open toe sandals are comfortable, but banging your toes is not, nor is hurting yourself because you wore an unstable shoe.Regarding sizing, my foot is a 12, a pretty standard foot I would say. My foot measures 11 1/4 inches, exactly at the standard size 12 length. I have several pair of these sandals now, both in size 12 and 13. Both sizes work fine for me. I actually think I prefer the 12’s, they are a bit more solid on my foot. I expect to wear the 13’s more often when it is cold with socks, to give me a little more space. But I can wear the 12’s with socks just fine.I have not trouble putting the 12’s on or taking them off, just push your foot all the way in and the heel strap will slide on easily. They stretch out after you have worn them awhile, I can’t tell much difference between wearing a 13 and a 12. In fact to test myself I put on a pair not knowing the size (I have the same color in both sizes). I guessed that I was wearing the 13 and I was incorrect, I was wearing the 12. I have also walked around with a 12 on one foot and a 13 on the other. I found no major difference between the two feet.I also have the leather version in size 12, they seem just a little bigger than the polyester but not enough to matter much.In summary, at least for me, the issue people have about sizing is very overblown. I would get a 12 1/2 if it existed, but I have often felt that way with other shoes. For me it is either a 12 or 13, and generally I prefer the 12. I have enough toe room in the size 12 of these sandals, they fit fine, around the house, walking trails with my dogs, and of course in the water. They really do dry out fast, If they get wet I just let them dry and put on a different pair.5/5/23….I still feel the same after wearing these pretty much constantly for a few months. You may think that there is not enough toe room because you may feel some sensation at the toe at times. My bigger sized 13’s have that same sensation, that is just due to the rubber caps at the toe. I feel no pressure on my toes walking down steep hills, that is the acid test for toe room. I definitely prefer the 12’s to the 13’s. They stretch out and the 13’s can feel just a bit loose. But the 13’s are fine, I can wear either with no complaints.6/26/23…Still feel the same, I have a pretty standard size 12 foot, size 12 in this shoe works well for me. I have size 13 as well but will use those with socks when it is cold, I like the better stability of the size 12. I really love these shoes. I put on an open toe sandal yesterday for the first time in awhile, yeah more comfortable, but banged my exposed foot twice, and that hurts. I am sold on the closed toe. You have to take the shoe off when you get little pebbles or something inside the shoe, but they slide off and on easily. Great in the water, I have never had pain from banding my foot walking the trails with my dogs since I started wearing them, and they really have good support. Dry quickly after being in the lake.

Best sandals ever…
I’ve always disliked sandals, then I saw these and gave them a try. Very comfortable and feel like shoes but much cooler, definitely worth the price. They were very tight at first but after one day of wearing them they feel perfect. Keen makes some of my favorite shoes for sure. Last but not least, it’s okay to wear them with socks… isn’t it?

More of a well ventilated shoe than a sandal
Sort of a hybrid between a well ventilated shoe and a sandal. My feet did get hot and sweaty more so than they do in similar type sandals. I’m not complaining, the trade-off for additional support and comfort were worth it. I’ve gotten them wet a number of times and they remain comfortable and dry quickly. I’ve put many a mile on them and they are serving me well.I looked at the black, triple black, and naval academy colors. The triple black looks like something a nun would wear, the naval academy was what I thought was an off blue, and the standard black is what I liked and purchased. The sole is thick enough to give plenty of cushion, the fit ran a half a size small for me. I a standard size 10 and had to get a 10 1/2.

Sizing
I have been a fan for years. I ordered a size US12 Men, received the pair and tried them on – too short. Thinking I didn’t order correctly, I lined them up with my old Keen sandals. Low and behold, the size 12 purchased and the current size 12 pair slated for retirement are not the same length. Believe it or not, I used the old Keen box for photo storage (yeah, I’m one of those!). Old box says Size 12! Therefore, not my imagination. It appears that Keen doesn’t produce a size 12.5 and may have to try a 13.So, this is not a complaint, just a heads up to those getting a pair. Only frustration is having to do the whole return, repurchase as the summer wanes.
